How to Download X (Twitter) Videos on iPhone
This iPhone and iPad guide explains how to save a public X video through Safari. X was formerly known as Twitter; the same public status URL rules apply.

Steps

Copy the link in the X app
Open the post containing the video, tap Share, and choose Copy link. Copy the post URL, not a profile URL or a link from a private message.

Open SSSXVid in Safari
Open sssxvid.com in Safari and choose X Video Downloader. The site does not need your X login cookie to inspect a public status URL.

Paste and submit
Tap the link field, choose Paste and submit the status URL. Wait for the result card instead of tapping a second time while the request is checking.

Choose an available MP4
Select the resolution supplied by the gateway. A public post can expose one format or several; the page does not invent an HD label when the source does not provide one.

Find the file in Files
Safari commonly saves a downloaded file to the Downloads folder in Files. The exact folder follows your Safari download setting.

Move the video to Photos
Open the file in Files, tap Share and choose Save Video when iOS offers that action. If the action is missing, the file type or iOS version may require a different compatible app.

Check playback
Open the saved video in Photos or Files. If it will not play, confirm the download completed and submit the public URL again for a fresh token.
Safari and Files are separate steps
On iPhone, a browser download can finish successfully without appearing in Photos immediately. Files is the normal handoff point; Photos is a separate destination selected after the file is saved.
Watch the Safari download state
If Safari is still checking the link, keep the tab open until the result card appears. After you tap a direct MP4 action, use Safari's download indicator or the Files app to confirm that the transfer finished before opening the file in Photos.
A second tap can start another request or create a partial file. When a download is interrupted, delete the incomplete copy, return to SSSXVid and request a fresh token from the same public status URL.
What can prevent a download
The post must be public and available. Protected, deleted, age-restricted or unavailable posts can fail before Safari receives a file. A status containing photos but no video should be opened in the Photo page instead.
iPad notes
The same Safari workflow can be used on iPad, although the Files layout and Share sheet may look different from iPhone. Follow the label shown by the device rather than assuming every iOS version uses the same menu position.
Permissions and storage
If Safari cannot save a file, check available device storage and the Safari download location. Do not send login cookies or private page source to support; the request ID and public status URL are enough to investigate a product error.

How do I download a Twitter video on iPhone?

The download may not have completed, the returned file may not be recognized by Photos, or the iOS version may use a different Share action. Open the file in Files and check its extension and playback.
Can I download a protected Twitter video on iPhone?
No. SSSXVid processes public posts on X only and does not bypass protected-post access.
Why did the link expire before I saved it?
Download tokens are short-lived. Submit the same public status URL again to receive a fresh result and token.
