On Android, the browser normally saves the MP4 to Downloads before Gallery or Photos indexes the file.

Copy the link in the X app

Open the public post, tap Share and choose Copy link. Use the exact status URL for the post containing the video.

  2. 2

Open sssxvid.com in Chrome on your Android device and choose X Video Downloader.

  3. 3

Chrome automatically downloads the video to your Android Downloads folder and displays a notification.

  6. 6

Your device's Gallery or Google Photos app will automatically index the MP4 video for offline viewing.

  7. 7

    Check file playback

Open the downloaded video to verify sound and video clarity.

Downloads and Gallery on Android

Android browsers automatically save downloaded videos to the Downloads folder. In most cases, your Gallery or Photos app will immediately show the new MP4 file.

Browser download notifications

Chrome displays a download progress indicator in your notification shade. Once finished, tap the notification to open and play the video directly.

If a download stops unexpectedly, check your connection, return to SSSXVid, and submit the link again.

Supported post formats

The URL must point to a single public post. Profiles, search feeds, and protected posts cannot be processed.

Storage and browser permissions

Ensure your Android phone has free storage space. If Chrome asks for storage permission to save the file, allow it so the video can be stored.

When a post has no video

If a post contains photos instead of video, SSSXVid will show the photos below. You can also switch directly to our Twitter Photo Downloader.

Rights and fair use

Save only media you own or have permission to download. SSSXVid is an independent tool not affiliated with X Corp.
