How to Download X (Twitter) Videos on Android
This Android guide explains how to save a public X video with a mobile browser. X was formerly known as Twitter; the service still recognises supported public legacy status links.

Steps

Copy the link in the X app
Open the public post, tap Share and choose Copy link. Use the exact status URL for the post containing the video.

Open SSSXVid in Chrome
Open sssxvid.com in Chrome or another tested Android browser and select X Video Downloader. No login cookie is needed for a public status request.

Paste and submit
Tap the link field, choose Paste and submit the URL once. The result area shows when the gateway has finished checking the public post.

Choose an MP4 format
Review the returned resolution and extension. Some posts expose one video file, while others expose several source formats.

Open Downloads
Chrome usually shows a download shelf or places the file in the Downloads folder. The exact label depends on the browser and Android skin.

Move it to Gallery if needed
If the video is not visible in Gallery, open it from Files or the file manager and use the device's move, copy or share action.

Check playback and storage
Open the completed MP4. A failed playback may indicate an incomplete download or an expired token; retry the public status URL if necessary.
Downloads and Gallery are not always the same folder
Android browsers normally save a completed MP4 in Downloads, while Gallery or Photos indexes media after the file is available. If it does not appear automatically, open the file manager and locate the download directly.
When Chrome asks for permission
A browser may ask where to save a file or whether a download can continue. Check the filename and available storage, then allow the single download if it is the public media you requested. SSSXVid does not need an APK, an X login or access to unrelated device files.
If the download shelf shows a failed item, remove the incomplete file and submit the status URL again. A fresh request is safer than retrying a token that may already have expired.
Supported links and public posts
The input must be a public status URL. Profiles, search pages, protected posts, deleted posts and unsupported wrappers can fail before a file is returned.
Storage and browser permissions
A full device, blocked download permission or browser setting can stop a save even when extraction succeeded. Check free storage and the browser's download settings before retrying.
When a post has no video
The result can say that no video was found while still showing photos or other media. Use the Photo page for an image-only post rather than repeatedly submitting the same URL.

How do I download a Twitter video on Android?

Where does Chrome save the video?
Chrome commonly uses a download shelf and the Downloads folder. The exact location can vary by browser settings and Android device.
Why is the video not visible in Gallery?
Gallery may not have indexed the new file yet, or the browser may have saved it in Downloads. Open Files, locate the MP4 and move or share it into the destination you use.
Can I use the guide on a Samsung phone?
The public-link workflow is the same, but the file manager and Gallery labels can differ. Follow the Download or Files labels shown by your device.
Does an x.com link work on Android?
A public x.com status URL is the preferred form when it matches the supported pattern. Public twitter.com status links can work as the legacy hostname when the gateway supports them.
Why did the video download fail?
Check that the post is public and the URL is a status URL, then check storage and browser permissions. Deleted media, timeouts and expired tokens require a fresh request or a later retry.
Can I download a protected Twitter video?
No. The service only handles public posts on X and does not bypass protected-post access or request login cookies.
What if the post contains photos instead?
